This special purpose extinguisher system was designed to protect the fuel cell area of NASCAR Cup, Busch and Truck series cars. It allows the cylinder to be mounted in the drivers area and remote sensor to monitor the fuel cell area.

The Safecraft Model AT extinguisher is an automatic, thermally activated extinguisher that can be used in many different types of applications. The extinguisher is well suited for fuel cell areas, engine bays, enclosed power units, electrical generating compartments and anywhere automatic protection is needed. The Model AT does not require any electrical power or manual activation so the area in which it is installed is protected 24 hours a day.

To prevent damage to the thermal discharge head, the Model AT has a rugged sensor guard. All of the cylinders used in the Model AT are DOT approved and can be recharged. The optional pressure switch can be used to electrically monitor the internal pressure of the Model AT to provide a remote discharge indication or interrupt an electrical circuit. The extinguisher uses Halon 1301 or 1211 extinguishing agent depending on the application. The extinguisher is supplied with a mounting bracket's and clamps that make installing the unit very easy.
