Factory BMW Motorsport Floating rotors that have been Cryo Treated to offer better longevity.
Floating Rotors offer some of the best advances in Brake Technology. Lighter weight means better performance. The unique bonded hat and rotor face allows greater heat dissapation. This means better performance, and better longevity. What more could you ask from a brake rotor?
These rotors are not cross drilled.

Frozen Rotors® are simply the best brake rotors money can buy. Serious drivers--those who tend to cross the finish line first--take their edge where they find it. And a growing number of them have embraced the edge that they've found in cryogenically treated brake rotors. Here's why:
The Cryo-treating process gives you extra brake disc life, which will bring your cost down over the long haul. Some track junkies view brake rotors as a consumable - something that you use for a couple sessions and throw away. With the Frozen Rotors you'll change your outlook on rotors and start seeing the benefits of Cryo-treating.
In the pictures below you can see the difference in wear characteristics between Frozen Rotors and standard rotors. This is of course on a Racetrack where brakes see grueling temperatures with no time to cool. Imagine the extra life on a street car where the brake system stays within reasonable temperatures!
Frozen rotors are NOT sold in pairs - prices listed are for one rotor. If you need both front rotors, you must buy two.
Frozen rotors are sold with no machining - ie: not drilled, slotted or dimpled. Unless specifically noted, those machining processes cost extra. See This link for more information.

The EBC “GD” series is signified by a “three spot” drilling pattern and a wide aperture full width slot. The full width slot expels dirt, rust, dust, grit, water and any other contaminants that may get between the pad and the disc surface. One important feature is to note that our wide aperture slots also can contain significant volumes of surface gases which are created during heavy braking and prevent the pad from “aquaplaning” on these gases, allowing the pad to contact the disc better and improve brake performance.
The three blind holes drilled in EBC’s “GD” series are to further break down gas film in between the slots but are not “through drilled” for one very special reason. 99% of all brake rotors designed and made in the world are what we call straight vaned. This means that the ventilation slots go directly from the outer edge of the rotor, towards the centre point of the disc. There is absolutely NO BENEFIT in through drilling brake rotors which do not have the vane system designed in a “scoop” fashion (which draws air through the centre core of the disc). In fact the drilling of holes through straight vaned discs can, if the holes coincide with the positioning of the vane, weaken a disc and cause catastrophic damage.
EBC Rotors are sold in pairs. So one set will cover both the left and right wheel of the front or rear of the vehicle.
