Shock Doctor Eject Helmet Removal System

Pulling the helmet off a crash victim can, in seconds, cause further trauma to the neck and cervical spine resulting in serious debilitating, and permanent damage. The Eject Helmet Removal System was designed to aid in the safer removal of a helmet by pushing the helmet off the head after the upper spine has been immobilized.

Essentially, the Eject system is an airbag that is inflated by hand after an impact. The device is installed in your helmet. Once installed you essentially forget about it until the dark day when you have an impact that threatens your spinal cord. The EMT will attach his inflator bulb to the valve hanging out of the back of your helmet and pump up the bag, lifting the helmet off your head without any strain on your neck. Because it lifts off the top of your head, the chance of further injury is drastically reduced.

Please view the video below for further information, also the PDF below has instructions for EMT's on how to use this device.

Schroth Right Side Net

New from SCHROTH is this high quality Right Side Driver's Net. Attaches to the cage of your race car. Made of polyester, these nets will last longer than competitor's nylon nets - Polyester is not as susceptible to UV degradation over time.

We view Right Side Nets (also called "Cage Nets") as a mandatory piece of safety equipment. In an impact, the body moves forward 6-8 inches. This is normal and quite necessary because to prevent injury, the harnesses stretch to decelerate the body. If you are in an offset impact (an impact that is not straight on) there are high lateral forces that will move you side to side. If you do not have a Right Side Net, it is very easy for the body to wrap around the side of the seat when the harnesses have stretched.

A Right Side Net prevents this by guiding your head and shoulders back into the seat keeping you from painful injury.
